Mon, 30 October 2006 One of my favorite podcasts is The SalesRoundup Podcast (www.salesroundup.com). This podcast is directed to anyone finding themselves in a "sales" role. Whether you sell to internal or external customers; sell a product or a service; new to sales or a seasoned veteran....Sales Roundup Podcast provides "can't miss content" in an extremely fun and lighthearted manner. Each week, Joe and Mike (the hosts) share their thoughts and experiences, as well as interview a sales expert and/or an author. Check out the Episode 56 from Oct 23. I am interviewed about That Was Zen, This Is Wow. OK...they call me Bob vs. Rob a couple of times. But hey...the content is still great. :-) Category: Blog Post -- posted at: 10:41 PM Comments[0] |

Fri, 20 October 2006 Episode 5 (Study the Real Purpose) looks at Zen 2 Wow idea # 160 -- A coffee table should be judged by what your heels say. Study the real purpose of thoughts and things. Sat, 7 October 2006 Episode 4 (Meaningful Revolutions) investigates Zen 2 Wow idea # 225 -- Your revolution doesn't have to be really big -- just meaningful. The term "revolution" is really a metaphor for Marketing Plans. While I do believe that marketing plans are critical for the success of one's business, they do not have to be big, elaborate, time consuming to create, or expensive to implement. This episode reviews several elements of a marketing plan including: 1) Goals 2) Target Audience 3) Product or Service Definition 4) Tactical Ideas 5) Time Lines and Action Steps 6) Accountability Here are a links to other articles I have written that talk about marketing plans: http://www.pertinent.com/articles/marketing/engelmanM1.asp http://www.tannedfeet.com/mkt_10mktg_plan.htm http://www.engelmanmanagement.com/article7.asp Another format I like is the SUREFIRE format to marketing plans: Set SMART goals for the short and long-term Uncover the needs of your target market Reflect on the ways you solve client's problems / pains. Establish clear, concise messages Formulate lists of activities to get your message out Institute detailed action plans on a daily, weekly, monthly Request accountability Enjoy stepping up and taking a BIG SWING Let me know what you think. - Rob Comments[0] |
